{"id":144,"date":"2016-04-09T18:40:56","date_gmt":"2016-04-09T23:40:56","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.mister4x4.net\/mister4x4\/?p=144"},"modified":"2018-06-10T20:00:14","modified_gmt":"2018-06-11T01:00:14","slug":"new-rear-wheels","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/mister4x4.net\/mister4x4\/new-rear-wheels\/","title":{"rendered":"New Rear Wheels"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>Since the rear wheels were sticking out just enough to &#8216;buzz&#8217; the wheel well openings when the suspension cycled (as in, going through dips and stuff), I decided to get some new wheels with a bit better back spacing.\u00a0 The originals were &#8216;off-the-shelf&#8217; Cragar S\/S 15x10s with 4 1\/4&#8243; back spacing.\u00a0 Here are a couple of shots with the original wheels:<\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mister4x4.net\/cars\/Mach_1\/images\/rearwheelold1.jpg?w=780\" \/><\/p>\n<p><img data-recalc-dims=\"1\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/i0.wp.com\/www.mister4x4.net\/cars\/Mach_1\/images\/rearwheelold2.jpg?w=780\" \/><br \/>\nI called up Summit Racing and ordered a set of custom back spaced wheels from Cragar (15&#215;10 S\/S with 5 1\/4&#8243; back spacing), which cost the same and only took a week for Cragar to make and ship to me. Took the &#8216;old&#8217; ones to Discount Tire and had them swap the Cobras onto the new rims, then stuck &#8217;em back on.
